📚 Sunday School IS BACK!

Time: 9:00 a.m.

Location: Sanctuary

Great news! Sunday School is EVERY SUNDAY at Greater Emmanuel Full Gospel Baptist Church.  

Please come out and learn about the scriptures, and we welcome everyone to join us as we grow together in the Word of God. We will be ordering books for anyone who wants one, so please let us know if you would like to reserve a copy.

NFL Football season

September 13, 2026, kicks off the NFL Football season. So, we are making that Sunday, NFL Jersey Sunday. Wear your jersey to church.

🍳 Annual Greater Emmanuel Prayer Breakfast

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Cost: Free to attend

We want to make this year’s Prayer Breakfast bigger and better.

We need:

• A leader to coordinate the event

• Volunteers to cook and serve

• Donations

More information will be shared as the date approaches.

📘  Ad Book Fundraiser

Greater Emmanuel is sponsoring an Ad Book Fundraiser. All members are encouraged to participate. We are seeking a volunteer to lead this effort. We want to get started in September 2026.  More information to come.

💰 Fundraising Goals & Ideas  - Continual

The church is raising money; our goal is $10,000. Whatever you give will certainly help towards that goal. Come with your fundraising ideas.  

The calendar meeting will be rescheduled.

👦🏾👧🏾  Youth Sponsoring Saturdays

Meets: twice a month

Details: Greater Emmanuel is proud to sponsor a brand-new youth program! We are dedicated to pouring into our young people through a wonderful curriculum focusing on:

Cultures & an introduction to business

• • 1. • 1. • Bible study foundations & Black history knowledge

            • Sharpening computer, reading, and math skills

            • Building lifelong friendships and positive relationships

Don’t forget our youth project begins the first Saturday in September in the fellowship hall. In addition to bible lessons, our partners are teaching kids valuable computer skills. They will learn to do things like computer coding and building their own games. 

    Note: Lunch will be served at each meeting.  Volunteers Needed: We are still looking for passionate individuals to help make this    program a success. Please step up to serve our youth!

🙌 Invite Someone to Church 

Invite a Friend: Challenge yourself to invite someone to come to church with you next week. Testimonials and service starts at 9:45. The spirit and word of God dwells here.

🌭  Community Free Hot Dog Giveaway

• Date: September 26, 2026

• Time: Starting at 10:00 a.m.

• Location: 1710 East Pettigrew Street, Durham, North Carolina

  • • Menu: Free hot dogs, potato chips, a slice of cake, and bottled water. 

Let’s come together to show love and serve our neighbors!

⛺ Worship at Pettigrew – Fall Tent Revival

Theme: “The Church Has Left the Building”  

When: Coming this Fall

Location: 1710 East Pettigrew Street, Durham, NC 27707

Join us as we take worship outdoors under a tent to glorify God together. This will be a deeply moving and spiritual event for our entire community. More details and exact dates are coming soon.

 📖  Come and Grow Bible Study -The Return of Wednesday Night Bible Study

• Date: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 

• Location: Greater Emmanuel Full Gospel Baptist Church.

• Time: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Exactly one hour)

• Course Lesson: We are studying the book of Esther, which is a fascinating book. It is only ten short chapters and 164 verses. We are just starting and there is plenty of time to catch up. Tune in and I’m sure you will be blessed.

• How to Join: Attend however fits your schedule best!
